- DVÜD – another large German association of translators and interpreters (site is in German)
- IoL – Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK
- ITI – Institute of Translation and Interpreting in the UK
- ATA – American Translators Association
- Freelance translator Miriam Neidhardt – blog in English (a German version is available as well)
- Training for Translators – Corinne McKay’s blog

Buying translation services
- ATA guides to buying language services – two guides by the ATA for clients who want to buy translation or interpreting services
- Translation: Getting It Right – guide for buying translation services (available via the Belgian Chamber of Translators and Interpreters)
- Certified Translation: Getting It Right – ITI’s guidelines for certified translations (focus on the UK but much of it applies in general as well)
- Database of translators and interpreters (German state justice administrations) – find authorized and sworn-in professionals for notarized translations
- Proz.com – translator and interpreter directory (sadly, there’s no quality control, so you need to carefully vet the profiles you’ve found there!)
